and remember that the photographers out there on the course are not friends/family and they are not trying to take good pictures of the athletes - they are just clicking away.
and there is a difference. i have been taking pictures of my husband's races for almost 5 years now and it took me awhile to learn timing of taking pictures, especially on the run. but he's generally the only one i'm taking pictures of and i can wait and bide my time and select a spot to be patient and get the most flattering shot of him. and i generally take about 5 pictures to get 1 decent one.
besides, it doesn't matter what you looked like doing it - you did it! |
