Subject: RE: Anyone swim in Mississauga? I tried this last year at the Milton Aquatic Center. A couple of us dropped out of masters and tried to work out together at lap swimming time. It didn't work very well at all, there are just too many people swimming too many different paces to make it work. They have as much right to be there as we did. It was hard to hit pace times and do hard swimming in that crowd. And forget about other strokes.
I ended up going back to masters for quality swimming.
I swim at the McKechnie pool on my lunch break. It's 86C, full of hair and bandaids, and old people walking across the fast lane. Intervals are impossible, I just put my head down and swim straight without much thought of the clock.
Hope it works out for you.
