Subject: RE: Are tool boxes included with tools? While I do agree it may be more of a PITA than its worth and better left alone. I also really like my tools and for them to be organized. That said, I have to think about the definition of a tool. Without looking at Mr. Webster I seem to recall that a tool is an object or device used to accomplish a task more efficiently. If this is the case then the tool box would be included with the tools, or identified as a tool on its own because it helps organize the person and perform a task more efficiently. Another thing to look at is if you were to go back to being a mechanic, is it a standard expectation/ practice that you provide your own tools to work? If so... then you could make a point by saying you need the tools to ensure future income potential should you decide to return to your previous profession. Just my thoughts. In the end you may get the tools but it will cost you almost the value of the tools to get them and for half of that you could get back into a nice tool set and some special use tools too. Another idea is to do some pick up work for friends and they pay in tools and equipment, win win. you get tools, lots of positive equity and you continue to be the positive influence for your kids.
