Good morning all. Quite a crappy, busy day at work this morning, along with bad news about a member of the Bike Club I ride with. It adds up to a lack of smiles on my part. Ah well, it'll all pass, I guess.

So, who is racing this weekend? My inexact research shows 4(?) folks racing this weekend. I'm not sure how close to right I am, so I'll wait and see. And I'll say "Good Luck to everyone that is racing this weekend!" Have a blast all, I can't wait to hear about it.

Look at all this new space we need to fill with questions, quips, conundrums, conversations and... quotes?

Speaking of quotes I have a new one on my training log that I got from a TT thread yesterday...

As much as we might curse the wind, and the heat, and the seemingly endless miles when we are out there on the day, those very things are what bind us to this race and also to each other. Nobody gets together over a beer and recounts war stories like, “hey, remember that time we ran a 5k in totally perfect conditions?” Adversity is one of those things that truly implants a memory in our brain. - Jordan Rapp

I'll let someone else comment on the seat height. But I believe it rides a bit rough.

Thanks. We've just gotten a bunch of news in the past few days and weeks that really hit home. Time is all that will fix some of it, I'm not sure on some, and some is really good news. So, I guess all in all I should be happy for the good and work to help/fix the bad.

Thanks again, you all have really made the past few weeks easier.

Does a weekend with my FIL count? JK.  It's worth it to see my MIL and SIL and nephew. AND I get to see my younger son this weekend YAAAAYYYYY! Don't know how my training will suffer tho.  Gonna swim after work, after that it's anyones guess.

This weekend there is a race in Denver (actually very close to my in-laws house) where you pick the order of the events.  It's called the My Way or the Tri Way.  I would like to do I next year.  O'course I'm such a traditionalist that I would probably do them in the normal order anyway Undecided

So, after 3 weeks of intense high profile meetings with the big bosses I am about done with my project!!!! I am sooooooo relieved. Also, one of the people I have been presenting to put in her notice and today is her last day. Not my fault, I didn't do it!!!!

Thanks to you as well.

So, does this mean the stress level at work goes down b/c you are done with the project or up b/c there are less people in the department? Or down b/c the person that left, well, um, left?

We get a lb. a week of coffee and then while we are at work we have like, 5 kitchens on each floor with all the equipment to make our own drinks (we get barista training)

Then 35% off at the stores.

If you are ever in SEA come on by and I'll give ya the tour.
