Oh I've been to the fair, we have the best state fair in Minnesota..  But, the butter is surrounded by the batter, thus, not straight butter.  Butter is great on anything you can use to get it into your system, but not so great all by itself...

A well known adventurer who's name escapes me now wanted to do a totally self suficient climb of Everest. He set out to ride his bike a few hundered miles to Everest and ride back home with all the freeze dried food he could carry. He made it to Everest and attempted his climb but could not do it. He was pretty much starving to death. He went back down to base camp and the first thing he did was eat a whole pound of butter from some folks that were kind enough to give it to him. That's the story at least.

Good, European butter.......yum.  I do eat slivers of it on it's own!  Not often, and always while no witnesses are around.  Sometimes with a bit of smoked sea salt.  More horrible stuff, right??
