I was bouncing around youtube tonight and stumbled across this video.  I found it fascinating.  The camera is so fast it catches light in motion.

To be 100% accurate, it actually catches multiple photons in motion and then pieces them together to make the video.  So that is not one single photon but rather lots of them that they have synced and stitched together.

But regardless to even see a single photon is absolutely amazing...

Sure, that would be like video at a trillion times a second frame rate... even still, a trillionth time sync photo sequence is pretty darn awesome.

I'm not sure what to think about the "around the corner" trick. Depending on the object, I would think at that level of complication a computer rendering could get it wrong. I suppose if you do a lot of modeling to teach it, but just watching the demo on the individual photos bouncing back and then stitching them together... what ever, I guess that is why they have people much smarter than I working on it.

can't stop watching this. It is incredible. Loved the bit about the 'bullet through the apple" video would take a year at the same speed.
