Subject: Uploading woes

I am having problems uploading from Garmin to BT this morning.  When I try to upload, I get a No Devices Found message.

I am using a Mac (10.7.5) and running Firefox (15.0.1).

Garmin Communicator is installed and working properly (Communicator Plugin is properly installed and up to date. acceptedVersion: 4.0.3.0.)

I tried to upload at home this morning and I got this message.  I brought my Garmin to work and allowed it to sync to my work machine and I am having the same problem.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

I should also add that the files are actually on my machine in the same place as always -- ~/Library/Application Support/Devices/[device name]/History

Today's workout did upload to Garmin Connect with no problems.

Since the Communicator plugin went south on Chrome not too long ago, I have been using Firefox for uploads.  Maybe Firefox changed something recently?  I don't recall when it last updated.

I had problems uploading from home again this evening.  I took a more brute force approach today.  I renamed my 310XT in the Garmin ANT Agent (under Manage Paired Devices).  Now BT "sees" the device to upload but it only saw the new workouts (the three that were not yet uploaded).  I can see all of the workouts in the directory ~/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Devices/3808259113/History, not just the last three.  Only the last three appear in ~/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Devices/3808259113/FIT.

Why would this happen on two machines at the same time?  Weird.

I'm researching this, but it looks like an issue with Garmin Communicator.  It's not even getting to our code at that point.  We're going to continue looking at it though.

OK, I'm not surprised that it's a Communicator thing.  Thanks for looking into it.

Have you checked if the firmware version on the 310xt is up to date?  Sometimes there are changes to communicator that require updates to the device firmware.

In case you have not noticed it, there is a 910 thread in Tri Talk that sounds similar.

And also over on that other forum.

This issue mentioned on the Garmin forums seems to be what I am experiencing as well.
