Subject: RE: chip time vs. watch timewell, it was an interesting race. we had to run over the starting mat, which is the exact point i started my watch, and jump in an outdoor pool. there were no splits at all, just my own mental splits, and i never stopped my watch until i crossed the finish mat at the end.
i didn't start until 2 and a half hours into the race, as we had to swim slowest to fastest, and they only had 16 people in the pool at a time, so it took quite a while. i'm thinking that may have had something to do with it.
all in all, i'm going by my watch. thanks for the input from everyone. either way, it was a great first tri and i'm happy with my times and efforts, and i still won an age group award, so what more could i ask? |
