Subject: RE: New shoe questionI usually run with shoes that have similar characteristics (stability, substantial heel-toe offset, lightweight) but have tried many brands. Some seem to work for me and some do not. Not sure why I don't just leave well enough alone. If I'm purchasing the exact brand/model, I'll still limit my first run to 4 or 5 miles. I had a pair of new shoes that had defective stitching on the tongue and it just shredded the top of my foot. I was on an out and back long run. Big mistake. Fortunately, my daughter has the same size foot as me so has been well supplied with the shoes that didn't work for me. |
