So, if you have an 8 year old boy,  It is totally worth it to go see the Monster Jam.  I also brought my 72 year old dad.  he liked it too...

Love the Monster Trucks and Grave Digger is my all time favorite.  Dennis Anderson is the man.

My two boys (ages 7 and 5) love the show and we have gone the past 3 years. There is a "pit party" beforehand that is very kid friendly and free to all whether you have tickets to the show or not. The kids can touch the monster trucks and watch BMX riders do stunts. There were also venders that let the kids build monster truck legos and play with other monster truck toys. Like anything, they are trying to sell you stuff, but my kids have always been happy with the free stuff & activities. Definately reccommend it.

Go to a show where there is a lot of room.  I've been to 2 arena shows and it's kinda a letdown since they have to get on the brakes before they can really do much.

Took my boys once when they were 9-10 and they thought it was the "boringest thing ever." Still talk about how they hated it. I can see how it would appeal to the NASCAR crowd though.

Sorry the irony there is too funny...

For the record my son did not enjoy it either.

Agreed on going to a show in a wide open space. I remember seeing the commercials when I was a kid, all the cool, fast, crazy stuff they would do. I finally convinced my dad to take me, but in our area it is inside an arena. They would jump over three cars then stop, rinse and repeat. Even took a 3 point turn to turn around between jumps. Was rather lame.

My dad was glad it only took once to "get it out of my system".
