Hey all, just wanted to share some info about this tri. Sounds pretty cool.
I talked to Andie from Fit Fundamentals last night at Sport Systems and she was telling me about the City of Lakes Tri in July. She said the lake is a private lake and is really nice, and the bike is on scenic well paved roads. Sounds like a good one. I'm contemplating doing it but my son is in town that weekend sooo.... dunno. Anyway just an FYI. Here's the link http://www.fitfundamentals.com/city-of-lakes-triathlon/ Andie is the RD and she said this is the second year for this race.
Bring your son along! The race ends at Blue Hole which is a fantastic place to bring an out-of-towner! I did this race last year, and it is one of my favorites. The scenery is gorgeous
The triathlon made a lot of sense as I could fit the training around early mornings and other times that wouldn't eat too much into my family time. Things never go completely to plan do they?
I am running Boston in April and Ironman Lake Placid is in July. I have been told that it is ambitious to think about doing an IM so close to a marathon due to the recovery time. Any suggestions?
The first time I ventured into the deep murky green lake and could not see the bottom my muscles tensed and my imagined fears surfaced. What exactly lies beneath?
Both the Lake Triathlon Shoe CX210TRI and the Lake Road Shoe CX225 offer distinct advantages. I tested both shoes and found them to be extremely comfortable, good looking and durable.
