Another Iowa Bicyclist Killed

Master  2504   Southwest Iowa |  Subject: Another Iowa Bicyclist KilledA Boone, IA man was hit by a driver and was pronounced dead at the scene. That is two in the last 4 days that I am aware of. According to the report he was a very safe bicyclist. No charges have been filed at this time.
Please be safe while riding. I am not sure that my safety yellow jersey is large or bright enough to let people see me in time. |

Master 2504 Southwest Iowa | Subject: RE: Another Iowa Bicyclist Killed Sorry SWITCH. It has been a long time since I have heard of an Iowa cyclist killed on the county roads. We have some great trails in the state, but nothing I don't have to drive quite a ways to get to and ride, so I usually ride the added shoulder of the highway going north from our small town.

Regular 5477 LHOTP | Subject: RE: Another Iowa Bicyclist Killed Every ride I do is either completely or partly on highway. My 30 mile commute is 22 miles of 55mph trucks with minimal shoulder. I almost never ride with anyone. It just doesn't work out for my schedule. I'm scared every time. |
