Everyone

I am currently looking for the most even elevation IM at SEA region my country of origin is Philippines they only have a 70.3 there. This is just for future plans.

Any recommendation is appreciated.

In your PM you mentioned 70.3 only. The only full IM I know of regionally (unless we expand the region to include Australia/New Zealand, which you might consider) would be Metaman on Bintan. If by even elevation you mean at sea level, yes, it's smack at sea level (at least start and finish) on the beach. If by flat, then no, it's pretty much constant rolling hills with a few false flats on the bike, and quite a few little rollers on the run, but nothing epic. (I don't recall any hills longer than 1 km on the bike, or 2-3 minutes on the run.) It's a scenic bike course (I've done the Oly), but personally I don't like it, as I find it hard to get into a rhythm with all the constant ups and downs. I tend to do better on flat bike courses, or those with a few really big climbs, since I'm good at the latter, being a lightweight. I'm a really sucky biker, though, so it might be fine for someone who's stronger in that event. Also worth considering the heat factor at Bintan--it's in my PM and you can probably surmise from my race reports for two Olys there what conditions are like.

Ironman Langkawi is back on the calendar again. I was coaching at the race in 2014 and it was great (little too hot though!). This year's event will be in November, so maybe couple degrees cooler, you can still expect some intense heat.

See write up about the race here: http://www.asiatri.com/2014/10/ironman-malaysia-2015-registration-o...

I have pedals with the cage and when I ride 2+ hours my legs feel much more tired then if I took out my husband's bike with clipless pedals. Do clipless pedals truly make the difference?

So tell me why I want to bother swimming the other strokes? I'm IM training, and plan to swim freestyle for the entire race, is there an advantage to working on the other strokes?

When it comes down to it, it’s me who has to believe I can run a full marathon after swimming and biking, and no amount of others’ belief in me is going to help.

I started riding this spring with the Carnac shoes on Look pedals (with plenty of float). About five minutes into a ride I get sharp pain on the outer edge of my feet, just behind the pedal.

Now, for the last 20 years I’ve always though that jogging seemed about as interesting as watching paint dry, and you know what? That’s how it turned out to be.

I’m a 240lb man, and I run relatively long distances. How would you recommend training for marathon and IM distances as heavy as I am?

A Navy Seals program modified specifically for triathletes. This workout is DIFFICULT!!! The weight training portion alone may make you cry.

It makes no sense to train hard for a year to hone that aerobic system only to have all that training undermined by a few anaerobic bursts on race day. So, how do you go about it?
