Subject: Anyone speak Czech?

I need correct pronunciation of the word "díte".  We have a new puppy and that will be her nickname   I have heard 'deejah' and 'geejah' (hard g sound).  Any help?

It's def not a hard g ...it's a super soft d ... The i is pronounced as "we" like in geek, t is a super soft t followed by "a" .... But let me check with someone” “for now you can also go to google translate and translate the word "child" from english to czech and then click the microphone sign .. it will pronounce the word "dite" it's pretty close except for the first letter it way softer and still a soft d vs g .. the rest is spot on

Tried Google translate--but it sounds like deejah to me.  Thanks--I'll await the further Czech check
