Do any of you have a good "Hilly" area between London and Sarnia? Considering IM Mont Tremblant for 2015 and looking around for some hill training options.

I'd like to know this, too. Also potentially considering Mt Tremblant for next year.

I know a lot of people that do hill training in the Komoka area, not sure the exact route. There are also a lot of hills north of London in the St. Mary's area.

Should also add, I'm in woodstock and have done wisconsin. I know at least one person in London that did tremblant and several that have done wisconsin and Louisville. There are hills, you just have to find them.

Around the river are your best options, and out towards Delaware. I don't know if we have the topography of Tremblant, but it's something!

Old river Road, Carriage Road, Gideon, and Longwoods Road come to mind... all in that Kilworth/Delaware/London triangle...

When we were training for our first three Ironman races (Canada 98 and Placid 00 and 05) we did a lot of riding in the Old river Road, Carriage Road, Gideon, and Longwoods Road area. We generally incorporated these into our 4 and 5 hour long bike workouts or into 7 and 8 hour bricks. The St. Mary's are has some good rollers and I would also recommend you look in the Goderich area.

After doing duathlons for the last couple of years, I decided to go for a triathlon. Starting with an Olympic-distance race perhaps wasn't wise, but it was fun (of a sort).

I struggled on the bike while climbing the hill portions of the course. I do fine on long straight rides but really have a tough time while hill climbing. Any advice or training tips?
