surprised no one has posted anything, seeing we are under 2 months till race day. Hope everyone's training is going well, I have had some issues and am only about 2 weeks into my training. So it could be a tough day for me, but we will see how my body responds.

You guys doing it this year are quiet

As for the swim waves, that sucks to wait that long.  But look at it this way, lots of opportunities for legal slingshotting.   Also, if you weren't already told bring an old pair of flip flops for the wait in the corral.  Your feet will thank you

thanks Chris, I wore double (old) socks a few years ago while waiting to start and it did the trick too. I don't mind being last except for the fact that the course is then log jammed with people and I have seen some gnarly accidents in situations like that. the thing I like about starting at the back is the legal slingshot passes and having people to keep picking out to catch...good motivation!

hmm wave 19 for me, about the same as 2013 ... I guess it feels better to pass than be passed all day. I just waited hung out with my family watching the swim for a long time before lining up in the coral. No sense in standing there for 30-40 minutes.

I hear that, wish T1 & T2 were open until later in the moring so I could just sleep in and show up shortly before my wave.

Not doing it, but took a look at the maps, check them out, looks like they may be going back to a single transition at the harbor with a point to point run with a finish at the pier? It's admittedly a little confusing but current maps appear to show a single transition.

Thanks for the heads up Chris. it looks like the out and back section on the bike is a bit longer to make up the distance that use to go to T2. but you are right, the run course is hard to follow finishing the first loop and going to the second.

I think the run will be a bit harder, with the climb up and over the pier as well as the climb around the condos back to transition, it's not a big climb but it's there.  But it wil be way less crowded since you can use the entire path north of the pier.

It was the morning of Ironman Newfoundland 70.3, I felt queasy. I didn't want to eat or drink anything. I had a full blown case of the pre-race HEEBEE GEEBEES.
