I finally pulled the trigger and registered! I;m stoked, although a bit apprehensive about the heat! Who else is in? when are you going to start training? Let's get this thread going!

I'm in!  After Galveston 70.3 and training throughout the summer in Houston, I'm hoping that this will feel cool in comparison

I'll probably start training for it sometime in July.  I've never been to Miami (or Florida), so really looking forward to it!

I am in! coming from Switzerland with my wife racing too

I have seen that sometimes wetsuit was allowed in the past, but I am assuming it will probably not the case (statistically), correct?

I did a bit of the swim course yesterday and ,barring any drastic temp changes between now and race day, I think it safe to say this won't be wetsuit legal. I think I'm going to invest in a swim skin. You can never have too much gear, right?!

i will be staying in Miami Beach. I would like to go for an hour ride the days before the race.
Do you think is it safe with the traffic? Where do you suggest to ride?
