Subject: RE: WTB - Sz 45 cold weather cycling shoes or bootsOriginally posted by g_shotts Are you planning on some serious off-roading that involves a lot of off-the-bike slogging through snow drifts? If you're just concerned about temperatures, I would think normal bike shoes, winter-weight socks and a good neoprene shoe cover should be sufficient down to the 10 - 20 deg F range. The key thing is to block out the wind. Nothing quite that serious regarding riding conditions, it's the cold and wind I'm trying to address. I've got all the things you mentioned and my feet do ok as low as 25 degrees however that's usually the limit before things get cold which is always before I want my ride to be done.. When it's colder than 25 degrees I think cold just seeps in, even without wind... |
