Subject: RE: IronMan tiers Do you mean General Entry vs. Ironman Foundation vs. Charity Partner entries? If so - In short, General Entry is when the event opens up to the public for registration, they only have so many entry slots allotted for each race. It's typically between 2,000-3,000 for an Ironman event (sometimes more, depending on the venue). Once those are gone, there are no more available and the race is officially "sold out." However, if you are willing to fund-raise or donate a significant chunk extra, you can snag one of the other types of charity slots. Looking at, for example, the Ironman Florida registration pages, Ironman Foundation will run you either $1,400 or $3,500 depending on which option you choose. Their Charity Partner entry/donation fee is $5,000. Those may also sell out. |
