Good morning BT!  Hope no one blew off any fingers last night as Jamie requested!  Lol!

5:00am:  :45 minute trainer ride...was shooting for an hour but spent 15 minutes getting Ruby back on the trainer and making all the adjustments.

5:45am:  :45 minutes lower body

Later: chasing CC kids and then later training my ladies

Didn't get to the pool yesterday but definitely planning to get there today--I'll do some lounging and some swimming!

Have a great day BT!

5:45 - very easy 30' run. I was sick yesterday and Sunday, so the goal here was just to get out a bit and see how it felt. Fortunately, it felt pretty good.

Have a great day and short week!

So, crazy story. Apparently on Saturday a plane crashed in the lake where I went swimming yesterday. Everyone in the plane walked away from it. After looking at the footage on the news I realized that I literally swam right over the plane and had no idea. It crashed close to shore and sank right away (after the people escaped), and I saw some scuba divers and a buoy while I was swimming but thought nothing of it. Holy cow

I forgot to post my 5k race yesterday. It was traditional 4th of July run on main st. my daughter ran the 1 mile run, then we hung to watch the parade. I smoked up some ribs and blew up the street for a several hours, and drank enough beer for all the BT folks it seems to celebrate our birthday of 240 years

Sounds like everyone had a great day!

no plans for today, but will probably go out on a bike cruise to shake out the fog in my head. I also want to shout out a Happy Birthday to my dad today!

Have a great day and Cheers BT

Crazy story Jamie! Glad everyone was ok in the plane!

5:15am - 60 min power spin - hill repeats with high cadence work at the top

heading to the pool in a few minutes. aiming for 2500yds or so.

Debating signing up for an OLY on Aug 12th. Been so long since I've raced since I've been figuring out my hip situation. I think I'd been ok running a 10K. We will see.

5:00 AM - 25 minute run followed by 40 minute swim.

Hour and half walk with the wife.

Legs are sore from a 54 mile group ride on July 4th.

Jamie- great story. What lake was it?

We had a wonderful Lake reunion over the weekend with a serious margarita contest. The winner used 77 year old tequila! I have never tasted 77 year old margarita until Saturday!

It was a heat index today of 105! I rode and ran anyway. The ride was 1:15 and the run was 45 minutes. The end of the run was pretty slow.

It's less than 2 weeks til my first triathlon! As such, the park that hosts it has opened the lake for swimming so we can practice. They have the turn around buoy set, but not the line leading out to it, so sighting isn't as easy as it will be on race day (I'm told)

I did the course three times for about 1350 yards total. The second trip I started as soon as the last ones from my first trip got in. We did wave starts, which is what they do during the race, though it looks like my age group wave will have about twice as many people in it on race day. On my second trip, I asked a guy that got out of the water shortly after me what his time was (he was fiddling with his watch, and I didn't have one) and he said 9:13 and pointed out that I finished before him. I thought he said 13, and was a bit disappointed. I am hoping to do the swim in under 10 minutes. So when he corrected me that it was 9:13, I was very happy.

I also did my usual morning 2 minute plank. A bunch of unplanned errands kept me off the bike trail today. Hopefully the daughter and I can hit it tomorrow.

Have a great evening,

J White
