I'm new to triathlons, will be hitting my first one this next summer. Just a little background on me.
In July of 2015, I weighed 310 pounds. I ate and drank whatever I wanted and a lot of it. I was over it. I joined my local gym and fixed my nutrition cold turkey. In June of 2016, I weighed 210 pounds. I had put on some good muscle too. I dropped 4 shirt sizes and 4 pant sizes. In August 2015, I completed my first 5k and fell in love with it. Since then I've run 8 more, 2 different 10k's, and in October I finished my first half marathon in 15 minutes faster than my goal. Since that half, I've put about 15ish pounds back on through becoming complacent. I set my sights on triathlons as my next venture. After the 1st of the year I will be focusing on them as my athletic venture. I am always looking for advice and tips (especially when it comes to nutrition ), and other people to share the passion and training with. Thanks for listening to my long winded intro!
