Subject: RE: Endless Pool = Speed? I used an endless pool 2-3x per week for one winter so I got pretty used to it
The strength of the current/difficulty depended a lot on where I was relative to the "motor/nlower..." whatever you call it
Slightly offset from center was much easier.
Close to the motor was easier. For example if my fingers were just touching the unit that was easiest. 5 feet back was the hardest
The pool had a mirror on the bottom so I would place it before starting and use it as a reference of where I should be
I used my Garmin with a timer. So I would program workouts like 10x2min with 20sec rest and the watch would vibrate to tell me when to stop/go
I did use the EP pace to monitor my progress from workout to workout.
So I would do 10x2min with the EP saying the pace was 1:30. Next time I would do it at 1:28....and so on.
I would use the same sets in the same physical position. |
