The Blues lead the bruins 3-2 in their 7 game Stanley Cup Final series.  That's all I really know about the world right now.  i don't even have room in my brain for anything else.

Sorry to hijack your thread......but the Blues are on the verge of their first title in franchise history.  And I don't know if you know this, but they lead the series 3-2. 

I don't know if I mentioned the 3-2 series lead, but the Blues have that in their match against the Bruins.

It's funny, but Perron is not loved here.  I can certainly understand how he is a favorite son up there, but there is history here with him....and, as I'm sure you know, he's bounced around quite a bit and not really considered a "team guy"....at least that's always been the knock on him.  Right now, I don't care.....it's been a long wait here.

I'm old enough, having been a hockey fan for life, that I vividly remember the Blues' first years when the expansion 6 had their own bracket where the winner faced the winner of the original 6's bracket.....so the Blues ended up playing Montreal in the 68 and 69 Cup series, and Boston in 70.....swept 4-0 in each series.  I was a 10 year old boy watching on Black and White TV.

For what it's worth, if I wasn't such a Blues fan I would be a Canadiens fan......I love the history of your team and was always in awe of guys like Richard, Beliveau,  Lemaire, and Vachon in goal.....and of course Ferguson was a monster enforcer for those teams.  As a kid, they WERE hockey to me and I always enjoy when that organization has success.

And no matter what.....you just gotta LOVE all the whining in Boston.  LMAO

Don't start........I can't sleep and I'm considering a vacation day tomorrow.  We've been 52 years without a Cup here.  Our team is the damn Cubs of hockey.  The Blues even have the longest consecutive season playoff appearance streak in the NHL.....but no Cup....EVER.  I have been a diehard Blues fan since I was 7 years old (and a hockey junkie in general)........that's 1967 if you flunked math.    I don't want to hear "Rut Roh". LOL

This city is pretty crazy for hockey....always has been.  For game 7 they have sold out the Enterprise Center where the Blues play  AND  Busch Stadium where the Cards play....in less than 1/2 hour....for folks to watch the game on the jumbotrons. 

If the Blues can pull this off, the party won't end until after the weekend. LOL

I've been a fan since day one and this has been a long time coming.....but I'm happy for my city.  The last couple of years have been tough....nice to see something to celebrate.  I know these people, from the best to the worst, and you won't see riots and stupidity.....just joy (and beer  LOL )!  This is a good night for my town!

Hey marcag.....what the hell is going on up there?  Can the people of Toronto not have a celebration without shooting each other??  Do y'all want to borrow Brett Hull for a week or so?  Those idiots will be so busy laughing, drinking, and having a good time they'll forget they're basketball fans and don't know how to act right.

Trust me when I tell you that "gang violence" is a monster to try and get a handle on.  They live in the same neighborhoods as really good people do......and rooting out one without offending the other is a very tricky deal.  I've lived it, and had as much failure as I have had success at balancing the two.

There won't be much coverage of this down here  after what we got initially......if suspects get named/arrested, or basically anything that becomes known, post it up if you don't mind.  I don't know anything about your problems up there, but I'm curious.  I'm especially curious to see any correlation to our problems. 

Again, I'm sorry this happened in your country (my initial joking is "gallows humor".....sometimes hard to understand for folks who don't deal with that garbage) .....it's all bullchit and never a true reflection of the goodness of people in a neighborhood, state/province, or country.
