Swam a bit over 1,000 and it felt good.

Rest day for bike and run. I did two days of biking and running in Wisconsin over the weekend. The times may not be impressive, but it was a very good quality workout, given all the hills and climbs, for both - bike and run. My quads were burning. I feel great today, but wanted to let my legs recover.

Have a great new week!

Well.....I am back in my hometown (Eugene, Oregon) for a job interview (tomorrow) after a beautiful but long drive over from Boise yesterday, and was looking forward to enjoying a morning run on a favorite trail (not really trail running--it's groomed wood chips) and then an 25 mile afternoon ride on our favorite rural MUP (first real outdoor ride since February). The run went great and was the longest I have done this spring (58 minutes--just ran out of real estate to get in an hour without doing loops of hotel parking lot), but when we got to the bike path, it was closed for the next few months for repairs. Badly needed but boo, hiss on the timing!

Did a shorter hour-ish loop of the town's busier MUP instead but not really a training ride. Riding my hybrid with the seat lowered--very far from ideal fit and while it wasn't really painful, nor was it particularly comfortable for arm, legs, or butt. We did (literally) stop and smell the roses at the Rose Garden en route.
