I got my wife a nano about a year ago and she now has at least 47 songs on it.  That's not a typo - 47 songs.

I would like to erase her nano and put my library on it.  How do I do this?  She's cool with this by the way since she only has a few songs that I don't, and I can easily get them.

I think all you need to do is open up your itunes, hook up her ipod, it'll give you a message asking you if you want to load your library, it'll do so and overwrite hers.

I think we tried that once some time ago and it didn't work.  Maybe I did something wrong.  I'll try again.

If that doesn't work, open iPod updater and it'll have an option to reformat the iPod.  That'll clear everything off of the hard drive.

you can also reset your iPod. All you have to do is make sure the hold button is set to "off" and then hold down the menu and the play button at the same time for about 6 seconds and an apple logo will show up. then the next time you plug in your iPod it will only update those songs that you have checked.

are the two libraries on separate computers?

Yes, separate computers, so will it update with my library if I hook it up to my computer.  I will try this if I can this evening.
