Subject: RE: Trek Hilo. Doesn't sound like that great of a deal. I remember looking at the Hilo , I don't remember the specifics or the MSRP, but their entry-level Equinox 7 retails for $1400, 105 rear derailleur and dura ace bar end shifters. Seems like you're paying more for last years model.
Check out Cervelo's Dual, full Ultegra, sells down here for $1599. It's Canadian made, one would think it would be cheaper up there.
I would question "size the bike." Is the bike the right size for you? Or are they going to make it fit? Sometimes "fit remedies," like longer stems, make the bike less stable.
Install the pedals you purchase as part of the deal? What do they normally charge for this service? It takes my 12-year-old son about three minutes. |
