Subject: RE: Deer Creek Triathlon - Olympic DistanceLast year when I raced several of my races, I unclipped and walked... jogged to my Transition area. My final 2 races, I left the shoes on the bike and ran to get my running shoes on. The only issue you have to deal with, is picking up pebbles on your socks. Nearly every transition area I have been in has had black top that was pretty crumbly. So you will want to either 1. unclip then remove and put on your new shoes or 2. take an extra few seconds to make sure your socks are pebble free. Either one is fine, just practice before hand. Remember don't do ANYTHING different on race day, that you have not practiced before the race. You really don't want to get blisters from running with rocks in your shoes. |
