I switched plans and now don't see my planned training. Any suggestions as I don't see anything to enable this function. Also how do I get rid of my 2006 totals for all workouts??? Thanks

I don't see any new training imported. Can you try again and let us know what happens?

Currently there's no way to remove the previous years totals from the blog display.

I thought you could just change your plan in the settings area. I forgot to import it.......duh.

I have a planned training that has been imported but when I move my mouse over the date it doesn't show anything about what the workout should entail.  Like Today (2/18/2007) shows a 35 min bike and 17 min swim but nothing about how those should be done.  Any ideas?

The bronze plans will not have any details....they are the same as the 'minutes-only' free plans but loaded into the training logs.

The only two bronze plans that are detailed are the beginner 1/2 and Full IM.

The silver/gold plans are all detailed.

Is your first sprint tri coming up at the years-end?  The plan you have now will definitely get you there.  I would give it a chance if you don't mind the simplicity of it.

It looks like you are a new runner and biker aside from a recent 5k?  Is that correct?  Really, for your first year, all you really need to do is make sure you keep everything in your Zone 1-2 or 'easy' and stick with the minutes...no intervals or speed sessions you need to be concerned with at this point for safety reasons...

Now about the swim, you can build in drills into the 'minutes' given in the plan via Total Immersion or some of the articles here: http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/cms/index.asp?catid=19   just pick a short and/or medium swim workout to focus on some concepts and use a little bit of the long workout to re-enforce them at the beginning and finish with some long sets.

Kevnin Koskella has several 'lessons' that you can build-in to a workout:
http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/cms/index.asp?authorid=824

Or look at gsmacleod's series:
http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/cms/article-detail.asp?articleid=528

and http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/cms/article-detail.asp?articleid=755

Once you finished your first triathlon and have built-up some endurance, then re-evaluate, see what your limiters are and if you want to improve, then a good, detailed plan will go a long way.

I also have McFuzz here at home to help me out with drills and such.

My first sprint will be in late July with several 5Ks before then.  My goal is to be trained enough to compete in them (tris) without quitting.  When I first decided to do this I could barely swim one length of our pool (25 yds) without thinking I was gonna die!! When Ido my swim drills now I can swim continuously for at least 600 yds.  It is not by any means fast but it is better than sitting on the couch!!  I am currently working on form.  Nice long strokes, head down, rotate to breathe.  When I have that going my swim seems to rock and when I lose that form my swim sinks me to the bottom.  Practice, practice, practice.
