What do you choose?  Answer the question on two fronts, first purely on performance, then on both performance and aesthetics.  Keep in mind that each 50 grams is just over a tenth of a pound of spinning weight.  For instance, the Mavic wheelset is 1lb less in weight than the HED wheelset.
