Are there any BT'ers planning on doing this race? I am registered and this will be my first HIM.

I live about 8 hours away, not sure what day we will be arriving.

Dexter is registered. I may appoint him as my official emissary for that race.

More importantly, why are you doing Tupper Lake and not the Musselman, where we could hang?

When I was working on the sched the Tinman date seemed to work the best. I remember looking at that website, I think the bf is doing some big race at the end of July and this date worked better.

I just hope I can survive the swim. That is THE worst part. Who is dexter?

SweetK is doing the mini Musselman.

Dexter. We hang out. He's cool. He's also a fish in the water.

You will love it. I used to live in the Adirondack's a little bit North of there just outside Lake Placid. Everyone is so nice and the area is so pretty that you cannot believe you are still in NY state! Watch out for black flies and cold water though...

Where is the Swiss Acres inn? and are you willing to rent out any floor space????

I've called all the motels in Lake Tupper and they are all full. I've called all the campsites but was only able to leave a msg. I did find a place in Long Lake but that is 18 miles away.

Anyone want to share a room? We were planning on being there the 29th and 30th.

If you check reserveamerica.com you can find state campgrounds near there. 18 miles to Long Lake is close in Adirondack terms...

I think I booked a room that sleeps 4 or 6. I won't know until closer to the date how many people are staying with me.

If you can't find anything I'm sure I can spare you guys a bed.

I'll be there!

Mtn chick, what camp site are you at? I'm also camping- at Saranac Islands.

Going to be a GREAT weekend! This is my first 70.3! Woot!

A LOT of people from my tri club are going (NYCers)... I think we have 40 people alone in the race! Yiesh.
