Subject: Fueling for long runs
Looking for some advice on fueling runs 2-4 hours in duration.  I normally wear a water belt and take a couple of gels with me, but I'd like to figure out a way to have some powerade along the way.  I am worried if I put powerade in my water belt that I'll miss having the water as well.  What do you guys do on long runs?

Use a Fuel Belt or amphipod sytem with multiple bottles.  I use the amphipod and often mix carrying a couple with water and a couple with sports drink.

I have a Camelbak designed for the waist, and I put a couple of Fuel Belt bottles on the waist strap filled with whatever.  I don't like gels, so I don't use them a whole lot.  If it comes down to it, I take a plastic water bottle, fill with sports drink, and tuck it under the flap of the CB.

I usually carry cash/credit and stop at a gas station to refuel or do loops near my house.

I use a 2 bottle (standard 20 oz water bottle) fanny pack with a zippered section I carry gels in. Works really well for me.

I'm with Kproud... I always have my drivers license and debit card in a back pocket and just grab a drink on the way.

I have a 4 bottle Fuel Belt that holds 32 ounces, which is generally verging on enough for runs up to 2hrs or so. Any longer than that and I either stash a bottle on the route or loop back to my apartment for a refill.
