Subject: Spare tire bike rack for sale!

Big surprise here. I got rid of the Jeep so now I have a spare tire bike rack to sell. It is only 1 year old. It retailed for $180, I paid $150 and I'm asking $75 for it. I'm not sure exactly how to ship it, or how much that would cost. You pay shipping too. If you are local to northern IL or southern WI we can probably work something out to meet.

Holds 2 bikes. Works great on a vehicle with a swing out tailgate like a Jeep Wrangler because the whole bike swings out of the way and you can access the back of the cargo area. It mounts very easily and there is a hidden lock for it so it cannot be stolen.

You can sort of see it on the back in the first picture below.

As long as you don't have a spare tire cover it should be fine. It has a plate with the standard three hole mount that you put on first, then your spare tire, then the rack screws into the plate. Takes 5 minutes, if you know where your tire iron is.

Well I don't have a Jeep anymore to take a pic of the spare, but does it have three lugs holding it on in a pattern like this?

Then I'm sure it will fit. I suppose I could take a pic of the piece that goes behind the wheel, but this thing is made by Thule, not Jeep. It is not custom to Wranglers. It is made to fit a wide variety of vehicles. I'm sure if it fits a Wrangler it will fit a Liberty.

fyi- its a universal fit- so should work on the liberty or any other car that has a spare on the back (all wheels are lugged virtually the same) I was thinking about buying this one too ( also have a liberty), but ended up with a hitch mount

75$ is a killer price

I just noticed that in the pics I don't have the center hub piece that locks the rack onto the wheel in place. It goes in that little hole in the middle. I have it, as well as the keys for the lock, I just forgot to put it back in for the picture.
