Yeah, I am really curious to see how they did that. Any pump that would remove the water that quickly (say it was attached to a hose that ran out to the sewer or something) would have been too loud I would think. The quiet pumps would have taken HOURS to remove that water. (At least the pump my parents have to remove water from their pool cover takes for ever...but it doesn't make much noise.)

Reminds me of a story I heard earlier this week.  One of my clients has a troubled employee.  He recently broke into a home instead of going for the electronics or jewely, he opted to steal a couch and refrigerator, my friend thinks b/c it was probably the most difficult to sneak out covertly...like he was showing off.

True that.

I'm wondering if a ransom note will show up soon. LOL!

I'm betting that they just dumped the water, it ran into the street/storm sewer along the proper drainage grades, and any excess evaporated overnight.

Or they used a giant freeze-ray to solidify the water and pool, and a silent helicopter with a silent winch to carry it away.

I'm sure it's one or the other.

I doubt all that water would have evaporated between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. So, it must have been the latter .

with a big enough tube (or a large number of smaller ones), you could set up a siphon and siphon it all into a storm drain fairly easily.

What would be hilarious is if they just stole the water and left the pool.
