Isnt that the truth! Reason why I asked, I did a 58.1 mile bike rally and then a week later did a sprint Tri. My legs were dead. Maybe I need to be in better shape? Any stories?
If you race all the time you can't get in the training you need and improve. I race in two clumps of races...early (2 Oly's and 2 spritns) and late in the season ( Oly & HIM). The longer the races really the fewer you can do as you need to train for them and weekends racing makes it hard to get long rides/runs in.
Racing is fun, but doing well in a race to me is better so fewer with tapers and peaks is best.
you can race often, have some fun but expect to perform ok to poorly; or you can train more, race less, peak for specific events and perform better or a lot better...
