Subject: Wanted - Bike for 6ft8in man and Bike for 13 year old girl
Hi all,
I am looking for a bike for a 6ft8in male, he is about 230 pounds, I was looking at the Trek 1000, 63cm, but they are not available until the end of September. Anyone have a used bike of that category, please message me!

Also, my daughter wants to ride with me, and we only have a mountain bike. I am looking for a road bike, she is about 5 feet tall, but just starting to hit her growth spurt, so not too expensive.

What price range are you looking for for the large bike? I may be able to help with some options, being 6'8" myself.

At 6'6" and on a budget, I bought the 64 cm Motobecane Vent Nior from www.bikesdirect.com. Some folks are strongly against buying bikes off the net or particularly from BD but I've had no problems

FYI - Trek makes a kids' version of the 1000 with 24" wheels - that might work for your 13-yo. I see them on e-bay frequently for $300-ish.
