First time I dare to post in the challenge forum, and this one will have a little twist to it.

How about an inspirational challenge?

For October, I challenge anyone who cares to leave one "inspire me" note on the training log of a BT you don't know. Share tips and advice, leave a quick "good work" note, motivate someone who needs to be, share a joke...

Who knows, maybe you'll make a few friends along the way.

No teams will be formed, but we can use this thread to share the word, and report back...

Bryan

Love it!!

Count me in!  I just love it when I go to my log and see inspires!!

One question - what is the frequency of inspires that we should challenge ourselves to achieve?

Honestly, that's totally up to you. It's all about giving. I am shooting for a minimum of one "stranger" a day.

Thanks for the feedback.

That's it.  We know you now.  And we won't let you leave!  You are trapped in the evil world of the  Challenge Forum!  Muhahahahahaha!  (That was an evil laugh, in case you can't tell.  It's 1:30 AM here, so I'm a bit punchy.  Tomorrow, I'll probably fall asleep at work though.)

This is actually a cool challenge.  OK, I will select a log at random, and leave an inspire note.

  zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...........

I love this, great idea! I actually already did it before I read this thread. Ride_it_like_u_stole_it - I left him a note about the screenname - which is pretty cool I think.

I love getting inspires too.

Done for today!

I found some people who have races this weekend, and left "good luck" inspires for them.

I am 5 for 5 so far this week. And enjoying so much. I am impressed by just how many people that time and effort to keep nice blogs, and with some inspiring tales of their own.

Like I always answer to people around me who wonder why I take time to go on my virtual running club and on BT, I always reply that it's about being around (at least virtually) like-minded people.

For a guy that trains alone like me, it's crucial!

Keep up Inspire Me Swat Team!

This has been a fun challenge.

I've sent at least one inspires every day, so far. I keep trying different ways to find "strangers."

The last few days, I went to the BT Blogger button, and picked from the "random blogs." As you said, there are some pretty impressive blogs (and training routines) out there. Who knew?

Today, I went to see who was racing, and sent some "good luck" inspires.

I think tomorrow, I'll go to the Intro Forum, and find someone there.

Dee

Bryan, Bryan, Bryan. You have just set yourself up perfectly.....

It's easy to find people to train with virtually. And compete with virtually. And it makes you feel SO much less like you're training alone.... And it's very simple to do:

It's called a CHALLENGE!

Yes, Bryan. You have just told us all exactly why YOU should join this month's RUN CHALLENGE!

You'll set a goal and be assigned to a team. (Or you can request a team.) There, you will get support from your teammates. You will also GIVE encouragment to your team. On occasion, you will have to deal with smack talk from competing teams. (Ignoring it works, too.) But most of all, you will HAVE to run, run, run. Because if you don't, you will have to answer to your team. (Nothing like peer pressure.)

OK then. So here's your challenge. Join the Challenge.

(Remember how I said that now that you're here, you aren't allowed to leave? Well, you've ventured into the Challenge Forum. And forever here, you shall remain.... Muhahahaha!.... )

Evil Dee

I click on the 'BT Blogger' link.  On the top of the page are links to go to blogs that have been updated today - something like - random blogs updated - needs inspired

Below that are blurbs from the most recently updated blogs - I've found this to be a great way to find new people to inspire
