Run
Comments: Mile 1: 11:00, you're kidding right? What the hell am I doing? There's still 12.1 miles to go! Mile 2: 11:30, still too fast, slow it down Mile 3: Still 11:30, that's fast, but it's not feeling fast Mile 4-5: Keep plodding Mile 6: Ok, at mile 7, you're allowed to walk Mile 7: Well, made it this far, run to mile 8 Mile 8: Oh c'mon, why not mile 9? Mile 8.5: Ok, legs dying, better start walking Mile 9: Met Janet Rest of race: If it were not for Janet, I would have walked the rest of the race. We pushed each other just enough to run/walk the rest of the race. And we even got this guy Steve to finish with us. :) The PPEs got me through the first 1:30 (mainly because that's what I needed to finish my October challenge goal)! Honestly, it was Janet that got me through the rest of the race. Wherever she is, I owe her a huge THANKS! The weather was perfect. The start of the run was a bit cloudy and overcast. But as the race went on, the sun came out but it was still cool. It was a little warm towards the end, but not uncomfortable. After seeing all the pictures from the race, I think I might run with my eyes closed. Of the 7 pictures they got of me, in 5 of them, I have my eyes closed. :) Post race

Powerbar about an hour before the race. Hit the restrooms, twice. Watched nervously as waves 1 and 2 started.
13.1 miles? The first 3 miles was my warmup!
