Subject: RE: One Armed push upsOne day when you have some free time go into a book store and sit and read Pavel Tsatsouline's "Naked Warrior." He has an in-depth discussion on doing one-armed push ups. There's definitely a technique to it. I read the book once a while ago. I think one of his tips is to spread your legs far apart to get a triangular base. Doing lots of regular push ups will certainly help, but the one-armed version is a different animal given the balance issues. Basically, to get better at one-armed push ups, you need to train the movement. You do that by doing easier versions of one-armed push ups. For instance, start by doing one-armed push ups against a wall, then against a bench, then against a lower bench, then finally on the floor. |
