Who's Your Marmadaddy

Hi team B,

I'm Judi and I'm in for 50 miles at this point.  I nominate Sal for captain cause he came up with the first suggested name (Muffin Men??) This challenge will keep me on track for my first half mary in April'  Looking forward to our kicking some booty this month!

I am more than willing to head up the team, but would first like to defer to anyone out there who has really wanted to be a team captain.  If everyone else passes up this great opportunity, I can step up as team captain .

I'm invoking Executive Privilege and appointing Sal as Captain.

Dexter and I have a 7.5 mile race tomorrow. The forecast is for snow, temps around 29º F and winds of 10mph. If a couple of fat old geezers like us can get out and run in that you have no excuses.

I'm all for Sal being captain... especially since he's going to be racing in 10 minutes and can't argue (though I think he already volunteered).  Oh wait.  Different time zone.  I hope he doesn't have a crackberry on him .

As for team names, I like Whose Your Marmadaddy and Pimp My Run but now that I wrote both of those things in the same sentence with "I like" I am somewhat concerned about myself...

OK, Sal is captain no matter what he says but what are we going to be?  Pimp my Run is hysterical...how about Runing off the Cheesecake (surprise)

I think my GI thing has come and gone so I should be good for my planned 7 mile run tomorrow.

We need a name (hmm, maybe we should go with that one for lack of a real name)

I am still a fan of Whose Your Marmadaddy.  "We Still Need a Name" (Wesnan?!) doesn't have quite the same ring as that other thread name .  I am assuming Sal is finished with his race by now... hopefully he'll weigh in, you know, as the democratically elected leader and all.

I don't have any "executive priviledge" but I second the nomination of Sal as our "fearless leader"  (oh wait a minute -- I think I'd have to "sixth" that nomination since almost everyone else has already voted    )

As for a team name -- almost anything but "muffin men"  Doesn't sound very fearless....

How about "Mileage Markers"    -- If not -- I'll cast my lot for "whose my Marmadaddy"

OMG... I have failed... ahem, must fix that... better.  OK, I can proceed.

I'm not sure, Dee. I don't think "Who's your Tiara Wearing Marmadaddy" or "Pink my Run" have quite the same effect as the others.

Hey Dee, I contacted Bear (moderator), and he said he couldn't change the Challenge thread name (to Who's Your Marmadaddy).  He said marma had to change that for us.  Should I just start a new thread with the new title?

When I had the team name changed for the Nibbs, I just sent an email to the site  support and Marma changed it - I'll send an email and see what he would prefer us to do - start a new thread or if he is willing to change the thread names - I'll get back to you soon and let the other teams know as well

the nice thing about keeping the same thread is it has the rules and the link to the spreadsheets
