Master 2005 Silverton, Oregon | Subject: RE: Ground Pounders Team Thread - Nov USMC Challenge Comet - 2008-11-15 7:33 PM I did not have a good week. But I barely made my 5 days for 30min. (barely made it!) I'm a little bummed about this and I ended it with a tumble on my trail run today and hurt myself. Sorry about your week, but congrats on still getting your 5 days in! Hope you heal fast from your tumble |

I posted last night, this morning and tonight and no one else has -- that's ok, I'm good with monologue -- not! Anyway, I rode today for my 1st qualifying wo of the week. Beautiful weather, but windy, but it's been windy for all of 2008 so far. November 16 and I was hot wearing knickers and long sleeve shirt -- woo hoo! Our snow will come, someday, and it will be a doozy if it's waited this long! Hope everyone had an awesome weekend!!!!
Nice bike ride Its supposed to be nice all week too... 50s and 60s. |

I had my 2nd swim lesson today and have some new stuff to work on and some more of the same. Mostly need to get my runner's ankles loosened up. Doing 10x100s w/ fins should help with that and with strengthening my knee. fun fun |

Good job to everybody getting the workouts in. Dang. Still stuck in third place. We'll just have to keep pounding for two more weeks. I'm sure we can overtake those other teams! |

Queen BTich 12411 , | Subject: RE: Ground Pounders Team Thread - Nov USMC Challenge I've barely gotten in my numbers, but I'm meeting the minimum. I may have to pull out of the challenge this week unless I start logging serious time on crutches. I get word on if I can swim on Wed. If I can't aquajog or swim laps, then I'm going to pull out (this will not penalize the team). If I can, then the challenge will continue! I can't do pushups or situps or anything like that. And I can't do bicep and tricep dumbell work 5 days a week for 30 min. Curls and kick backs may be the only thing I can do right now. |

Hope the dr. will let you swim laps at least. You can use a pull buoy and not kick maybe. Take care and heal fast! |

I would have rather been outside too I like Jorge's program so far. At least it gives me some structure on the trainer! |

I would have rather been outside too I like Jorge's program so far. At least it gives me some structure on the trainer! I'm doing jorge's plan outside. It's harder to be consistent with the interval given all the variables outside, but still got a good workout. I'm staying off the trainer as long as possible |

I even threw in a little ab work. I'm thinking tomorrow I'll get in a swim. Now that I've gotten back in the pool habit, I start jonesing for the smell of chlorine. Edited by esc 2008-11-19 9:18 PM |

It's been like Club Med there lately. I enjoyed being able to hog the whole lane instead of having to swim over errant children! |
