Master 1209 New York, NY | Subject: RE: Team GALILEO: Stick to the Plan I did a quick spin on the trainer this morning, and getting ready to leave work and head to the gym for a run on the treadmill. I can't wait until I starts staying lighter a bit later so I can do my runs outside.

Champion 7931 Sequim, Washington | Subject: RE: Team GALILEO: Stick to the Plan I did the am masters today...the was a bit of IM stuff. I actually managed butterfly (with fins), a total of 200 yards. We also did 250's breast stroke. I was put in the fast lane and I never lost more than 15 yards on the guys ahead of me.

Champion 7931 Sequim, Washington | Subject: RE: Team GALILEO: Stick to the Plan I didn't get all the yards in though...I think that it totaled more than 4000 this morning (I thought that I saw 7000 as the total, but that seems awfully high). |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Team GALILEO: Stick to the Plan Morning team. Happy Saturday. Today is supposed to be a rest day but my 10 K training says a 6 mile run with hills. We will see what wins out. It is going to be a relatively nice day here with the winds finally dying down so I may opt for yard work instead. I have three trees to plant and about 100 irises. Hmmmm, maybe running sounds easier. Have great days all. |

NC is rather far to venture to do a bit of planting. I will just have to send you some pictures I took yesterday at the show. Edited by mchally 2009-02-21 10:04 AM |

Expert 1202 Montana | Subject: RE: Team GALILEO: Stick to the Plan Okay, I put in my last 2000 yards. I'm done for the week! I'm over 80% in all three disciplines. Too bad next week isn't a rest week! Our Saturday project will be to mud and tape the upstairs of our addition. Good times! |

Veteran 286 Brisbane, Australia | Subject: RE: Team GALILEO: Stick to the Plan Hi all. I'm back! Had a relaxing week at the beach, but unfortunately picked up a foot injury and a cold. I was running on the sand and a few hours later I could hardly dorsiflex my foot. Walking was painful for the next few days and running has been out of the question. I'm going to do a race simulation this arvo (60% of sprint distance) and see how that goes. As for the cold, this is exactly what happened right before my last race - 1 week out and I pick up a cold I'm really sorry but I'm pretty certain I won't reach my goals, especially biking. I will have a good go at it this week to try and get up as high as possible. Sorry |

Sorry to hear you got a cold and an injury on your vactation - talk about a double whammy! glad you had a relaxing time anyway whatever you do, don't worsen your injury for the sake of the challenge - it's much more important that you get healthy! |

Thanks. I did a race pace runthrough at 60% of sprint distance yesterday. Considering I have a bit of a cold, my (projected) time was only a bit slower than my goal. The foot felt ok, not 100% but at least it didn't hurt too much. |

TinkerBeth 23096 Liverpool, New York | Subject: RE: Team GALILEO: Stick to the Plan Hi Team I PM'd Jenny about whether or not there would be adjustments allowed for illness and/or injury and the answer is yes. The last thing we want is for people to train through illness or injury for the sake of winning a challenge so if you were unable to meet you goals due to illness and/or injury - adjust your goals by the % of time you were unable to train Feb has 28 days - if you missed 4 days you would adjust your goal to 86% of your original goal - 24 is 86 % of 28 if you decide to adjust your goals, please update the spreadsheet and PM Jenny or post your update here if you're unsure of how to send a PM Hope everyone is doing well! |

Thanks for the update, Beth! I know there were a few of us that missed some training due to injury. Although I think I still may fall short even with an adjustment |

Good-o. I lost 3 days (Thurs, Fri, Sat) so I'll adjust down 10%. I'll adjust the spreadsheet but I'm not sure about the whole PM thing. |
