Champion 6107 Out running or enjoying a fine glass of red... | Subject: RE: Challenge Chat (aka Nibbs XVI) - come join us :) Morning, Nibbs! And great way to look at it, Pam...new month, new opportunities. I'm trying to plan my goals for the month...I mean my real goals - I've already set my challenge goals (which I WILL meet this month) - but it's so nice to look at the clean white calendar and see all sorts of possibilities. Also, I'm not racing this month. At all. (Unless I run along with Elder Monkey for her first kids race, but that doesn't count...) I'm taking this as a month to ramp up for the summer - I've got 2 races in June, a short pool sprint at the beginning and a longer OWS sprint at the end. OK, I should stop babbling and get on with my planning. Oh, and work...I'm supposed to do that too. |

I think it's going to be a long month for me. I'm doing a few long supported rides (Capital to Capital century or half-century next weekend, MS ride at the end of the month), but they never feel the same as a race. |

Tomorrow is supposed to be drop dead gorgeous. What better way to spend it than on the bike WTG, Judi. See? Biking is fun! (Lots more fun than running ) Beth - glad you are going home this weekend. Good call on the realtor thing. If he won't listen to you about e-mail, he probably won't listen to your other preferences. How's it goin'? lastcall2003 - 2008-04-30 10:12 PM Mila, how are the kids doing? Thanks for asking... I think they are on the mend. Exhibit A should be back at school tomorrow assuming she gets through the night OK. Exibit B has to be home again.... 24-hour rule on the fever. Not sure about Exhibit C... it's always kind of hard to tell what is up with him under "normal" circumstanes, tougher still when he's sick. I am supposed to ride tomorrow so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that that will be possible! Pam, just had to drive-by and say...you're new av...YOU.LOOK.MAHVELOUS! I guess THAT'S what it's supposed to look like when your bike fits! I should find that out here the middle of this month... |

TAN has actually gotten too clique-ish even for me. And that's sayin' something since I'm the bastard that started the thing from someone else's concept. Oh well. Y'all are more supportive, anyway. (no, I'm not feeling 'down' but I have been spending the past few days moving paper from the left side of my desk to the right). Scott!!! Love all the pics of the kids. You must have been on Cloud 9 the whole time they were with you... |

Champion 6107 Out running or enjoying a fine glass of red... | Subject: RE: Challenge Chat (aka Nibbs XVI) - come join us :) You're not crazy. Well, maybe a little. OK, maybe more...but it has nothing to do with your sick tummy. Today's lesson...do not eat when you are bored. Today I am bored. And I have eaten everything in sight. I'm at the day's calories and its 1:30. And I ate a bagel - I don't even like bagels. This is what happens to me on rest days when I'm hormonal. Since I can't fix the latter, perhaps I should never take a rest day again. |

Champion 5117 Brandon, MS | Subject: RE: Challenge Chat (aka Nibbs XVI) - come join us :) Wow. I'm getting some random entertainment for the day. Scott, it's too bad you jumped out the Jackson Metro Cyclist email group because it's a busy day. Apparently some people got dropped and lost on the "no drop" Wednesday rec ride. The hammers are supposed to come out on Tuesday and Thursday, but they must have shown up yesterday as well. There are some really unhappy people, and a few of the Tuesday/Thursday regulars are calling out those who chose to be bada**es and average 21-22 on what was listed as a 17mph ride. Whew... some of these people could use a good run or swim to cool off. Pass the popcorn. Edited by sesh 2008-05-01 2:13 PM |

Well, in light of my definition of “cyclist” I think I have an answer. A triathlete is a cyclist provided he or she would still ride even if the cycling portion of triathlons was officially replaced with some other activity, such as rollerblading or curling while on mescaline. If in such a situation the triathlete says, “Hey, that sucks! Well forget triathlons, I’m going to keep riding,” then he or she is a cyclist. But if the triathlete immediately puts all his or her bike stuff on Craigslist and buys a big heavy rock, a broom, and some peyote, then he or she is just some freak in a half-shirt. LMAO! |

LOL. No kidding. Or they can do the scan right after I ate something that makes me sick. The nurse was going to talk to the surgeon to see what he thinks the next step should be. I think I might go back to my primary care doc and have her check all of my thyroid levels. I've been really tired lately, so that might be causing some of the problems. WHo knows at this point? |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Challenge Chat (aka Nibbs XVI) - come join us :) I am feeling fine. Seems the rear ending did not cause any damage to my back and neck, but the chiropractor did have to realign me today. Got my new orthodics for my shoes, so hopefully this will help get ride of the lingering problem with the PF. Will be taking the car in tomorrow for the estimate on the repair. I'm at work tonight. Will pop in and out. Edited by kns57 2008-05-01 3:49 PM |
