I'm guessing it's a chest cold, but who knows, my body may be kicking on the furnace to get rid of some nasty buildup from my first tri a few days ago. Any thoughts? I think you have a chest cold - |

Still feeling a little slow, most likely from the long week last week, and lack of sleep for a few days. Guess what? Hubby should be home by the end of the week. Yay! |

The bike, not so much...gonna try to commute to work on my tri bike, but am REALLY nervous about it... When is your HIM? I'm considering registering for one in Sept., but it's the swim that worries me. A lot. June 14th...nice cool lakes of Minnesota...which means it will most likely be wetsuit legal... Swim used to be my worse event...2-3 times/week in the pool/lake takes care of that... Wetsuit also really helps with bouyancy...impossible to sink with one on... I imagine the reservoirs in CO are all fed by spring and mountain runoff...I remember swimming in Cherry Creek Res in July (non-wetsuit) and thinking how cold it was... What's the part that worries you the most? What worries me the most is the possibility that I won't make the bike cutoff because I swam so freaking slow It's in Aurora Res which I hear is mountain fed -- I assume directly fed underground because all water comes from the mtns around here. So it's never warm which works for me because I like the buoyancy of the wetsuit, I just hate the fact that I can't breathe in it. I'm planning to swim 2x/week in the lake and 2x/week at the pool and hope that's enough. And maybe get a new wetsuit. Thanks - I'm actually feeling a little better about this HIM now. I sure hope 3 months is enough to improve my swim..... |

I used to feel very crappy after a race, like I was coming down with something. It hasn't happened so far this year, but I've been better about getting enough calories before during and after, and eating extra salt for a couple days before the race. Hope you're feeling better soon!! |

Welcome Amy and I hope everyone had a cheesecake filled weekend BTW - I am on a mission - To convince my wife to move to Bend, OR - Flat out beautiful. Grew up in Colorado, been to Scotland, Traveled all of America mostly and this place is numero uno. So if you ever want somewhere awesome to visit - book a flight to Portland (Don't fly direct to Bend because you will miss the drive) and drive to Bend via Mt. Hood - WOW!!! Snuck a little trail run in tonight after my 16 hour day with travel and work and now am going to hit the same trail in the morning again and drive back to Portland and fly to Newport Beach, CA (Darn!). Hoping for OWS or bike riding if I can find a rental! Have a great day and I will check back in from California tomorrow! Bend OR is nicer than CO? Hard to imagine, but we'll have to come visit you once you guys are settled |

The easiest way: 1) Highlight the table. Copy it (CTRL + C). 2) Go to the Control Panel, edit your training settings, go to the Goals section. 3) Put the cursor where you want it, and paste it (CTRL + V). If that doesn't work: 1) Go back to the table. Hit the QUOTE button. 2) Highlight the code. Copy it (CTRL + C). Follow directions 2 and 3 above. If you have problems still, just let us know and we'll walk you through it. |

Veteran 194 Denver, CO | Subject: RE: Cheesecake Lovers Good morning all! I am trying to motivate myself to get moving this month. I took a fall while hiking on Sunday and have a huge puffy bruise on my thigh and basically a hole in my hand where I skinned it pretty badly (right on the pad of my palm beneath my right pinky) that I think may prevent me from biking comfortably this week. But running wasn't too bad yesterday once I got over the feeling that my thigh was bouncing from the puffiness, and I'm hoping to get a nice pool workout in today...gotta keep moving! Keep it up, cheesecake fanatics! --Stacy |

I can have one kiddo at dance class and the other in the daycare, and I can take it easy if I'm still trying to cough up a lung. It's a win-win situation, I've decided. Except for the treadmill part. |
