More of a classic rock vibe. First song is for Max..... I hate it when I'm so predictable!!!

Champion 8903 | Subject: RE: December's "Get Your A$$ On The Trainer" challenge! Day off today...woo hoo! Out to breakfast with my little "Pop Tart" and then back home for what is hopefully the first of 2 trainer rides. First one is 10 minutes warm up, 20 minutes at LT pace, 5 minutes easy, 5 minutes over LT pace, 5 cool down. 2nd ride to come this evening. And I should have posted this earlier, but this was the results after yesterdays trainer rides. If you rode today, I have you recorded, it just doesn't show up on this spreadsheet. I'll post an updated one for today's rides this evening!

Regular 89 Mesa, AZ | Subject: RE: December's "Get Your A$$ On The Trainer" challenge! I realize that I'm getting into the challenge a bit late but I was wondering if I could join in. I'm just coming off an injury and just started getting back on the bike this week. This is also the first challenge I've ever joined so any pointers for a newbie would be helpful.

You get 100 bonus points for each pound lost, but 50 points deducted for each pound gained, so as long as you don't go real crazy on the weight gain! LOL

Sure thing! It's never too late. All you have to do is what you've been doing...just keep recording your riding minutes (trainer or road is OK...so is a spin bike at the health club) and I'll grab your minutes off your log each day and put them on my Excel spreadsheet. There are cumulative bonus points awarded for each successive day you ride (a minimum of 5 minutes required) and each week on Monday, report in with any weight loss and there is an additional bonus of 100 points for each pound lost! If you know what you weighed earlier this week, just keep a mental note of it and weigh yourself again on Monday. I don't have to know actual body weights, just the amount lost is great. You can post it here, or simply put a note in your log about it. Welcome to the group...you'll see that the spreadsheet has everyone's BT name as a link, and it will take you to their logging page. Inspiring others is highly encouraged, so join in the fun. As always, the only prize at the end of the month is knowing that you participated and put out an effort to start the winter with a good training base! Any other questions, don't be afraid to ask. I'll actually start you with your last couple of days on the trainer, according to your training log, so you've got points on the board already!

Master 1734 On a lake in the Adirondacks in NY | Subject: RE: December's "Get Your A$$ On The Trainer" challenge! My husband and I went Christmas shopping tonight at the mall, my least favorite place in the world. When we got home it was almost 10, and my husband is ready to go to sleep, but I tell him I'm not giving up my bonus points, no matter how exhausted I am. Since the trainer is set up in the bedroom, he has to suffer with me. I did 10 minutes, which isn't much but it's better than none! Now I am going to pass out. I have concession stand duty at my daughter's swim meet in the morning. 7:30 am on a Saturday. Ugh. |

Champion 19812 MA | Subject: RE: December's "Get Your A$$ On The Trainer" challenge! It is 10:30pm, I drove my kids to school 5x or 125 miles today, waited 47 minutes for them to finish what they were doing, came home swapped pedals, prepped my cross bike for my race tomorrow, sorted all my gear as it will be cold and I'll need layers for warming up and racing, checked BT and now I'm riding my trainer..no way giving up those bonus points as they grow each day and come month end will be huge. Now which bike, where? leaving on good tires as it will be short; this is so bloodly complicated with to many bikes, sharing pedals, swapping wheels..I need to just ride Yes Mav I think to much, I know....
