I want to share some news.... here is what i just posted in my log:

Awesome story to tell: Yesterday while out riding with the tri girls Im heading around and all of a sudden I hear a voice behind me... 'Catherine - hello' - turns out it is the girl who got me into triathlon in the first place... we did our first one, an enticer race, together.... so we caught up briefly - she is newly engaged and her fiance was riding her bike which is identical to mine only in a larger size!

I was telling her about the race in a couple of weeks and how Ive got a group from work signes up. Today... I get a note from her saying 'See you Feb 1 - Ive just signed up'!!! Woo hoo!!!

I hope so... Ive told her just to look out for the company logo which I will be sporting and a nice distraction for me from the chaos of everyonee else doing their first race!

So, anyone who has had cats ever had one with lymphocytic plasmacytic gingivitis?  Griffin cat went to the vet yesterday and the vet is pretty sure that he has it.  Involves lots of dental cleanings, antibiotics, and eventually we'll have to have his teeth pulled.

It's frustrating.  I don't want Griffin to be really stressed out from lots of vet visits, but I also don't want to let it go untreated and have him lose his teeth so early.  He's only 15 months old.   

Right now, I think I'm more stressed out about it.  I feel like I did something wrong, even though that's probably not the case.  I just feel like a bad kitty mom.  

Griffin will not be so happy about having to go to the vet and be on medicine.  He has to go in soon to get put under to have a dental cleaning and exam.  Then, he'll have to be on antibiotics, but I hope that he'll start feeling better and not having problems with his mouth.
