skrtrnr - 2009-12-07 12:38 PM AFTER NOON VIXENS!

first off, WAY TO GO TEAM ON OUR FIRST PLACE this the first week of the challenge.

wooo hoooo!

and WAY to GO ERICA on you FABULOSO 5K....anychance you could come to PGH this Saturday and pace my azz to a 3rd place finish?

i went out to run early, 25 degree 4 miler.  HTFU points for me.

my reward:  a tanning session.  1st one until i get some color on these uber white shoulders of my mine so that i dont end up being the talk of the company christmas party for all the WRONG reasons.  LOL.

got my two almost strapless dresses to choose from, both of which will look so much better if i have nice light tan.

i need to post the pics of me in my dresses so you can vote which one i should wear to the party.  im having a hard time deciding.

AGAIN, VIXENS, CONGRATS on our FIRST PLACE FINISH!

keep on keepin on.

ebshot - 2009-12-07 1:10 PM Got my trainer ride done.  Jorge's plan called for a 20 minute test.  OUCH!  I do hope to see some massive improvements come tri season!  Course when you are as slow as me, it would be hard not to improve!

Edited cause I'm a dork who can't spell!

That's on the agenda for me tonight...  I did a 1000yd swim TT yesterday - just to mark a reference point for myself.

Sorta did Jorge's optional workout last night (also baked some pumpernickel and peasant bread)- about 90 min (instead of two hours) at a upper z3 pace on the CT - watts averaged 163 over that time (although I have no idea if that is good or bad....).

Dropped by the pool at lunch today for some speedwork (if that's what you want to call it) - 8x25, 7 x50 6 x75.  Ran out of time before the 5x100...

Evening Vixies!! Made it through work today and then taught spin tonight.  Since John Lennon died 29 yrs ago tomorrow I played lots of Beatles tonight.  I love listening to all that old stuff from Sgt. Pepper, Abbey Road....we managed to work hard too.  I posted the playlist in my blog. Tomorrow I hope to get in both a swim and run since it is my day off work.

So you teach spin as job and then workout on your days off?  That's crazy...

I actually started teaching spin because it was really hard to get into the class.   You had to call 24 hrs in advance and I either forgot or called too late. I figured if I was teaching I would always be able to get in!  I only teach twice a week so it really doesn't count for a "job".... I have fun with it though....

^^^^^Sandra, are you an accidental fitness professional too or is this your primary career?  I take it your bootcamp is outside?

Yes, I'd say I'm an accidental fitness professional too, I participated in an outdoor bootcamp for a year(lost 100 lbs!) and one day asked they owner of the bootcamp I went to what it takes to become an instructor, just out of curiousity.  She got so excited that I asked and offered me a job before I was even certified, she facilitated the entire process and now I teach 3 classes a week as a part time fun thing, still have my regular full time job, but who knows maybe in the future I might transition into a full time fitness professional.

Congrats on the 100 lbs.  It took me a year, but I got to 48.  I have another 20 or so I want to do.

Missed yesterday, did get to the Y today.  Did a 2.25 run and a 4 mile bike.  the bike I like is fixed and more realistic.  It is an "Expresso" or something.  Has a tv with the course, other riders and a pacer.  I always kick that pacer's tail!  LOL.  The 4 miles was accomplished in 18:22 - which is a lot closer to real life for me - except for the hills that were on this course.  Real time I would have been closer to 23 minutes, I'm sure.

Lets go team!

We are supposed to get some snow tomorrow.  I hope the kids get the day off from school.  If they do, I plan to do some baking with my daughter, Alex, and then watch movies with the three of them and then go play in the snow.  Just an all around fun day planned.  Of course I'll get my trainer ride done in there somewhere but I won't be able to get my run in.  Of course this is all assuming they don't have school.  Finger's crossed!
