I hit 229.5 yesterday AM, which is 41 pounds off where I started when I first got 'off the couch' back in mid March. Sub 230 was also a goal I had for end of August, so I may have to recalibrate that one .  Setting my sights on 210 by Sept 26th.

I've been doing 'tri' training for only the past few weeks (was mostly strength/cardio before) and the weight is just coming off. Also changing what I eat - more of the 'nutrient rich' stuff and  less off the 'crap rich' stuff I had been eating.

Feeling good, and looking forward to getting better.

Still 237 as of this am. Ate very badly over the weekend and yesterday and stayed the same. I started the Body For Life program this am. I will let you know what happens over the next 12 weeks.

Welcome! Is there a particular race on 9/18? 11.4 lbs. is completely doable in 8 weeks time! Keep posting here.

Yes I am just getting into this all.  Have a sprint for August 8th and another on the 28th, looking to do the Savagman Oly on September 18th.  Started weight loss in June of last year at 292lbs but really started exercising and training for the last 5 months.  Weight loss has stalled somewhat now but trying to adjust my diet to get there.  Long range goals are 190 lbs by next summer and do a half at that time.

No, just my first 'solo' tri ever.  (did a relay in late June which started me on this path)

HIM is the following week

Plateaus are normal. You might want to track your waist, neck, thighs and chest measurements. While your weight may be staying the same, the exercise may be changing your body composition.

Savageman will be a great experience. I hear it is tough. Good on you for doing the sprints first it will help you get the rhythm and transitions down. Keep us up-to-date as to your progress.

236 this am. Down one lb. Goal 205 by the end of the year. How is everyone else doing this? What are you guys eating and how often are you working out? Started the Body For Life plan yesterday and my body feels weird. Slight headache and weak. Going through withdrawls.

Greg:

My program is from my coach, Marty Gaal, with One Step Beyond Multisport. After determining my races and ranking them A, B, and C, he provides me with my workouts usually in 2 week intervals. We workout together about 1 time/week.

Thank you, I know I need the accountability of having to post it here all the time and not get in one of those patterns where I get lazy and go back to my old habits

Too late to join in?  I have my first 50 mile run in November and I'd like to get down 5lbs.  I know it doesn't seem like a lot but it's hard and I always thought I ran well at 125lbs.  My goal is to get it off and keep it off until November safely and smartly.  I intend to do this without sacrificing my pizza on Fridays.

Also going to Hawaii in October so I'd like to be in super bathing suit shape by then as well.

Rough weekend for me, eating has been bad and workouts have been a little less than stellar. Guessing tomorrow's weigh in will not be great.
