ceilidh - 2011-01-07 6:42 AM Morning Ghouligans. I have the day off but I have chores, shopping and a funeral to go to. I need to stop by the hospital and see a friend who is in ICU with an anyurism (sp) on her aorta that is leaking. Very un-good. I won't be around much today.

Have fun. Oh, our snow was just sleet that made covered the roads with black ice. Lovely.

disturbed275 - 2011-01-07 6:38 PM Although I did have an interesting meeting today.  Another guy and I were on a phone conference with a woman in Colorado.  It was a confusing half hour because I had never worked with her before and I swore I was talking to a man the entire time, although the emails we had exchanged prior stated her name was Leah.  So afterwards I say to the guy I was with, "was it just me or did she sound awfully mannish?"  He says, "Well, up until a couple of months ago Leah used to be Levi."  So yeah, I worked with my first transsexual today.  Can't believe I got that one right.

ceilidh - 2011-01-08 7:58 AM Morning Ghouligans. Day off yesterday was as expected. I would rather have all day meetings than a day off like that. (well, maybe not).

Today may be better or may not. Going to tackle Christmas and hopefully a mani-pedi with friends and dinner after. Unless the weather comes in early. In preparation, I am doing laundry and all the stuff that takes electricity. We are usually without power for a while when weather comes in.

Ann, I could use that note Amy was talking about for the day off police. I need a do- over!

mndymond - 2011-01-08 3:40 AM So...games night was super fun! But surrounded by other drama...just got home because my brother drove himself into a ditch on our country rd. Okay, fine. Not a super big deal and he is fine. Kicker to the story: he texted me at 830 and said "don't come home, the roads are really bad". We are on a severe blizzard warning right now. He then proceeded to go out with his friends at 10pm and drive back at 2. Into the ditch and I just happened to have the 4x4 and drove by to pick him up about 10k from the house. He was wearing some half a$$ "im too cool for a real winter jacket" jacket and leather slip ons...there's'already about a foot of snow and 2ft drifts. Just *face palm*. Oh well. That's'my rant! Haha
