Royal(PITA) 14270 West Chester, Ohio | Subject: RE: April Pick Up-to-4 Challenge rnihill - 2011-04-15 10:36 AM Enjoy both the workout and the wine!!I was a lazy booger last night... Work was crazy and thought I'd be able to work out once the kids were in bed. But hubby insisted on having hockey playoffs on. I SO didn't want to watch that on the drainer so I went to bed instead. I'm actually glad I did... Today is not shaping up to be a great one. Hubby (aka Mr Dumbazz who didn't call the dentist yesterday) had a toothache all night and woke me up at 3 am to help him look for orajel. He's headed for a root canal now. Since he finally got to sleep around 4 I let him sleep in and had to get the kids ready solo, which is ok. But I noticed my dd has some new petechiae... So we're headed to get her platelets checked this afternoon. The poor girl is so stressed about the possibility of having to get another round of treatment. And it's report card day for her too! I think I'm really going to need a good workout tonight... followed up by a good bottle of wine! Sympathies to your poor daughter |

Veteran 392 Calgary | Subject: RE: April Pick Up-to-4 Challenge I'm afraid I'm going to have to either adjust my goals, Crushers, or not meet them ... I have been hit with a stomach bug and am going to be missing at least 3 days of workouts ... Yesterday I didn't leave the couch, today (after 14 hours of sleep) I'm feeling like the Mack truck that was repeatedly running me over yesterday has run out of gas, and has been replaced with a normal-sized pickup ... but I'm still scared to eat. I have fruit, and tea, and I'm not hungry, so it's back to the couch I go again for the day. I'm volunteering at the Calgary Police Half Marathon on Sunday and I HAVE to go, mostly because it's ours - but also because most of my TriCops peeps are down for the Baker2Vegas run, so TriCops are counting on me to be there to wave the flag. |

Veteran 392 Calgary | Subject: RE: April Pick Up-to-4 Challenge There's ALWAYS hope my friend - always. ;-) I went through the worst 3 years of my life 2007-2010-ish, which is something I know you can relate to, and I honestly believe you have to suffer the nasty before you can appreciate the good. If you don't experience the bad - how would you even know the good? Kevin and I met in 2006, right before I left Calgary and CPS to move to the Island. At the time he was going through a fairly volatile divorce, and I had my sights set on blowing town ... when we reconnected after I came back this past August (at work, which makes work FUN now cuz no one knows about us, lol) it just clicked. When we first met it would never have worked out - right person wrong time. It took each of us a few year's growth/pain/experience to get to the right place where we're right for each other. There is not only a right thing to do, there's also a right time to do it. All you have to do is TRUST the Universe (God, Shiva, whomever) and be open to whatever it/he/she throws your way. ETA: this is for you, my pet:

The other other night was not so bizarre. I met a wonderful guy, we got together, spent more time 'deep talking' than anything, and have been talking since ... Then tonight we planned to meet late at a bar on the beach (since both of us had earlier plans). My 'earlier plans' wound up being extremely bizarre, yet very fun. Then when I went to go meet him at the bar ... Okay, well, let's just say THEORETICALLY, as in, in the NOVEL of my life, like if this were a movie ... why does every guy story in my life end with something like ... Master 1623 | Subject: RE: April Pick Up-to-4 Challenge So I ran my 5k.... i've run this race before and today we got to where I knew we were supposed to turn left and everyone's going right so I assume the course was changed (has happened before). But no it wasn't. They just didn't have anyone at that intersection telling you where to go so a ton of ppl ran the wrong way. Still ended up at the finish line but we only ran 2.8 miles. It was extremely unorganized this year. James and I still had fun though. He and I ran together last year and he was really impressed with how much I'd improved from last year |

Elite 2640 Ontario, Canada | Subject: RE: April Pick Up-to-4 Challenge I talked with the apartment manager today and the pool is closed for the rest of this week as well. Apparently it has been leaking into an unknown source and he's been filling it up daily to keep the water level up. So that's why I kept scraping my knees in the shallow end... I will adjust my swim goal accordingly once the pool finally opens. The goal was based on 2x per week. Still waiting to try water running... I might be healed by the time I begin! (Hopefully...) |
