Hi all. 

So my brand new laptop just stopped working (wouldn't boot up)...    BUT, with how slick Windows 7 is (best OS I have ever dealt with), I was able to restore the system to before the problems (I hope).  Well, at least now the computer boots up!  haha!

Man, it's hard to keep this thing up to speed.  Thank good ness I have the desktop to keep going.

That is so funny as I was just about to post that it's FREEZING here!!! I spent the day with a girl from Seattle (and part of last week with one from the mountains in AUSTRIA) and they both said it's pretty damn cold. I'm considering letting the dogs sleep on the bed, I'm so cold.

We've got betting pools going on which volcanoes it's going to snow on this year. I bet it does. There's a mountain range in eastern Indonesia that has snow all year round, but I bet it's going to snow right here in Bali or next door on Lombok this 'summer.'

SOOO, funny how things seem to get your attention when it pertains to YOU.  I have seen so many topics about my "issue" and even today, saw a short segment about the thyroid...

So, when mine goes, I need to take a replacement drug.  Too little of it, I gain wait, feel tired, etc.  Too much, and I lose weight and feel hyper, faster HR, like I was on too much coffee...

I'm thinking the later sounds good to me!  But seriously, when they start me up, I may ask to err on the side of too much.  I could use to lose a few lbs before IMAZ!  haha!

I packed a snow shovel when I moved from Denver to Vegas...  Funny, no one wanted to buy it at the garage sales I had...  ended up tossing it.

It's supposed to be 107 today.  yuck  Summer is HERE.  However, I could head up to Mt Charleston and actually run into snow!  it's only 30 minutes from here.

I'll see your 107 and raise you 115.  I tossed out my hockey skates when I moved here only to find it was more popular in the desert than the frigid midwest of Michigan.

Yeah, Phoenix (Scottdale) is typically 5-10 degrees warmer.  I have friends who live in Scottsdale.  I love it down there.

My friends live about a mile or two from this pretty cool hiking trail.  It's VERY popular and tons of people hike it.  I actually ran it (or tried).  It's a pretty good climb over a couple peaks.  I want to say they live in the north east of Scottsdale.  Perhaps you know the hike/trail?

Heh! I have plenty of friends who take synthroid but nah, those symptoms aren't quite as nice as they might seem

guess I'm glad I've flabbed out and have that extra layer of blubber now that it's forkin' cold and in this race I'll be in the water a LOT longer than I thought ...

good thing, too, guess I should go eat that Magnum bar that's calling my name from the freezer

Well, I hope they can get it right the first time (or close).  I DON'T want to put on weight...  But I don't want my heart to explode either!  

Sounds like Pinnacle Peak Park.  It's roughly a 1.75 mile out over two peaks and then turn around and come back.  I live a couple miles away and yes, it's a good run.  I try to hit it once a week (avoid it on the crowded weekends) for some hill work

Thyroid replacement may also make you hairless....booyah!!!!!
